Our Students
The Food Science Innovation Hub supports students across a range of disciplines who are passionate about food, science, and innovation. Students involved with the Hub gain knowledge and experience in areas such as food chemistry, microbiology, product development, Culinology, food safety, and sustainability. Through hands-on projects, industry partnerships, and research opportunities, they are equipped to become leaders in food innovation, entrepreneurship, and the advancement of safe, high-quality, and accessible food systems.
Undergraduate
The undergraduate program in Food Science offers students a comprehensive education in the science of food, combining classroom learning with hands-on experiences in areas such as food safety, product development, sensory evaluation, and culinology. Students graduate prepared for careers in the food industry, government, or further study in graduate or professional programs.
Graduate
The graduate program in Food Science provides advanced training in research, innovation, and problem-solving to address current challenges in the food industry. Graduate students work closely with faculty and industry partners on projects involving food safety, microbiology, processing, sensory science, and product development—preparing them for leadership roles in academia, government, and industry.
