About Us
The Food Science Innovation Hub was launched on July 1, 2024, with the goal of fostering collaboration across campus to advance food science. The Hub aims to build strong relationships both within our department and with other academic units, support student entrepreneurship related to agricultural and food products, and prepare students to apply science in real-world business decisions. By focusing on research, education, and outreach, we strive to help the food industry produce safe, high-quality, and affordable foods—benefiting communities in Mississippi, across the U.S., and around the world.
