Overview
Food Science Innovation Hub
Feeding a growing population with safe, high-quality, and affordable food requires innovation, collaboration, and a new generation of skilled professionals equipped to meet the challenges of a global food system.
The Food Science Innovation Hub supports student success through hands-on training, entrepreneurial development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Our mission is to grow food science at Mississippi State University by connecting departments, empowering students, and engaging with industry. Faculty and collaborators involved with the Hub lead research, outreach, and applied projects in areas such as product development, food safety, value-added processing, sensory science, supply chain innovation, and regulatory compliance—all aimed at strengthening the food industry in Mississippi, the U.S., and beyond.
